Program Summary
| Child Advocacy Resource and Education, Inc.(c.a.r.e.) is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 agency that provides direct services to families and children, including: parent education, children's programs, supervised visitations and safe exchanges, in-home parent education and support, child abuse prevention for school children, and community education. Founded in 1976, c.a.r.e. is a multi-faceted organization focused on both preventing and intervening on matters of child maltreatment. c.a.r.e. operates under the premise that...if you strengthen a parent, you save a child! |
Wish List
| -Volunteers with specific skills such as fundraising, graphic art, computers, web site development.
-Financial donations. -Sponsor fund raising events. -Material donations such as: Diapers and wipes, baby formula, new toys, children's books in Spanish and English, children's art supplies,new carpeting, laminating equipment, computers both laptop and desk, locking file cabinets, and office supplies. |
Client Story
| A week after the Safe Touch presentation at a Weld County Elementary School, a brother and sister walking home from school were approached by an adult male in his car who motioned for the students to come over to him. The girl grabbed her little brother and ran away as fast as they could, screaming in a loud voice the entire time. When asked by her school counselor how she knew exactly the right thing to do, she answered, "From the Safe Touch Program." (the Safe Touch Program is one of c.a.r.e.'s programs for K through 5th grade students. |
