The Community Foundation will be hosting a FREE fundraising workshop for nonprofits.
Please join us for
Asking for Money: the Not-So-Awful Truth
presented by nonprofit consultant Martha Vail
July 8, 2010 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Weld Library District Administration building (2650 W. 29th Street - upstairs)
RSVP by July 6th to lauren@cfsgwc.org or (970) 304-9970
Invite your staff, your whole board, volunteers, clients—anyone who loves your organization and its work to this brown bag workshop (we will provide drinks). The more the merrier as we learn that fundraising can actually be fun!
We will examine why fundraising is often seen as a “necessary evil” rather than the necessary blessing it actually is. We will also find ways to work through the reservations (or dread) that hold us back from engaging in the single most effective fundraising method: asking people for money, face-to-face. Most importantly, we’ll learn and practice a highly successful, totally customizable way to do just that—ask your friends, family, neighbors and colleagues to support your cause.
