Impact Update
At the Communtiy Foundation, we strive to build the Foundation for our community.  Here are some of the way we have been making an impact in our region.

  • We held our annual scholarship reception where we awarded $120,000 in scholarships to 65 Weld County students
  • The final Leadership Northern Colorado class was held to help identify and meet regional needs for the future
  • We saw the conclusion of our CommUnity series of capacity-building workshops for area nonprofit organizations. Through a grant from the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado, the Community Foundation’s CommUnity series provided 14 Weld County nonprofit agencies with techniques to improve their capacity in areas such as programs, operations, governance and fundraising to be better positioned to serve today’s and tomorrow’s communities.
  • Colorado Lungs 4 Life, a special-project fund at the Community Foundation, received it’s 501c3 status from the IRS and is able to operate as their own nonprofit charity.
  • The Littler Youth Fund at the Community Foundation continued to support youth organizations and projects that benefit Weld County children including $16,800 in the 2nd quarter.
  • We are excited to announce that we have received an in-kind grant from Google, Inc. to help us gain greater online
  • visibility and increased website traffic.

We are working diligently to become the leader in fostering positive change in the nonprofit sector and the leading community-owned, philanthropic organization in our region. Contact us to find out how you can join us in making a meaningful impact in our communities.
